Push-up Challenge: Day 39 - 39 push-ups
Several of you have mentioned that you are not doing the challenge anymore. Just curious who is still going strong with it? Now that the reps are higher it is becoming less and less convenient to squeeze the push-ups in during the day. Keep at it! Make them part of your day somehow. Some when you first get up, some more when you get home from work, and the rest before bed...or however you want to get them done-but get them done! We're almost half way done the challenge - don't give up.

I am still doing the challenge. My push-ups have totally improved and even my burpees feel better (who knew burpees could feel better?) :)

12:15 - at home again : subbed 20 lb dumbell clean and one armed push-press with 20 lb dumbell (5 each arm each round)

I'm still doing the challenge... although I did miss a few days when my shoulder/neck was out last week and I'm not 100% caught up, but I'm just going to keep going forward from here!!!
Last night as I was doing them I did 20 all in a row, which is up from my original max of 13! Woohoo!

Hi guys, we are still in on the challenge. I however have to split them up, sometimes by a few minutes and sometimes throughout the day.

Kerri - just say, "NO!" and rest that shoulder.
You can't say no can you?!
Let me help you with these example questions and answers...
Q: Kerri do you want to do this shoulder WOD?!
Kerri: NO I'm resting my shoulder.
(This is the right answer)
Q: Can you show me some kipping pullups?
Kerri: No, I'm resting my shoulder.
(This is the right answer)
Q: Hey let's see who would finish this WOD faster - hey Kerri are you in?!
Kerri: What? eh?! Freakin' eh! Let's GET ON IT!!!
(This is NOT THE RIGHT ANSWER)
(Sigh...coach says rest but can't win them all).

I'm still doing the push up challenge but have had some setbacks, nothing serious,:) there is loootttttts of time to play catch-up still! I keep track in the back of my book. I also report to some facebook friends who have joined me, and at home I do them in sets of 8-15 and keep a running tally on post-its. I really can't quit with all these systems in place.:)
I hope the next challenge is a little easier to get a head start on in case of injury/toothaches/broken rib, etc, maybe a sit-up challenge? or a squat challenge? Lunge to the grocery for milk?
Kerri; Jon has some really great advice! I think it might also be a good idea to tie your hands behind your back!
I still owe you Jon! The WOD never got easier but it didn't get harder, soooo...maybe we can settle on 50 cents?

Tracy - I like your lunge to the grocery store for milk idea... :)
